ohmygosh. i just spent $30 at my favourite thrift store here in town. that means i got a TON of stuff. can't wait to take some photos (i have to do some altering first!) lots of cute stuff though; eeeee!! until then, i have some cleaning to do. my dear boyfriend was nice enough to clean out the closet (it needed it SO badly) and sweep/mop the floors...so now it's my turn. time to organize and get rid of some clothes! we both need our own closets...one day!

it's probably one of my favourite days for a few reasons. canada is a fantastic and beautiful place to live & as most people know my favourite colour is red so it's the one day i don't look completely nutso for wearing an entirely red ensemble.

i even typed in a different font for todays entry (did you notice?)i am super excited for today. one more day of work and then THREE, count em...one, two, three whole days off! i have no plans for it and that suits me just fine. oh wait i lied...two things i must do;

i MUST go to the gym

...but that is all i'm limiting myself to. i can definitely get both of those things done...and anything else will be a bonus! sometimes i like not having a 'to do' list. it feels nice.

that is my favourite...for obvious reasons!! it's just SO incredible. she also is like, the waaay cooler version of me. the 'me' if i had more balls to do things...aka: she has wicked tattoos, loves owls, cats, sewing, hello kitty and get this, she has 'cat lady' tattooed on her knuckles. haha, i want to know this girl. she also has a full owl sleeve & hello kitty on both her hips...too cute. okay, i'm done being a creep.

i wish so badly that i had sundays off. i don't think anyone should ever have to work sundays, it's mean...anyway, off to work...blah! two more (very full) days & then off for three, which are supposed to be rainy but that's a-okay with me...more reason to stay inside and get crafty!!

last night was a lot of fun! we had some people over to our apartment before we went to see the rikers at the blue room. two of my good friends; colin & rusty are in this band and they are sososo good! it was their first show in ptbo (even though they all live here)...lots of dancing; which i loved! i always ♥ a good night of dancing...check them out...i swear you'll like them!!

anyway, so last night was so much fun. i needed a night out like that. this weekend i am working 2-12 (overtime) then monday, a regular 3.30-12 shift and then...AND THEN i have 3 days off; wahoo! i am looking forward to this. i hope the weather is nice, like it has been lately!!

i cannot believe it is almost july!! like most people i'm sure, june just FLEW by! lots of things to look forward to though;

this weekend is scene fest in st.catharines...a part of me is wishing i was there. no, i don't listen to that music anymore but a bunch of my friends are going (who i went with in previous years) and we always had a blast! since i love looking through old photos so much...

+ go grocery shopping

+ possibly start sewing a dress (if there's time!)

(it's like a sauna in here...seriously)

& i just made some carrot muffins, mmm!

all i really feel like doing is eating icecream though.

i realize that it has been a million years since i have blogged...or um, rather a few days probably. i was at home for my days off this week (sunday-tuesday) and had a lovely time. went out for dinner to the keg (mmm!) with my famjam the first night, went to see 'drag me to hell' with my dad one afternoon (actually pretty scary!) hungout/had good chats on the new back deck with megs, got a much needed haircut, shopping with mum and drinks with friends who i miss oh-so dearly. it's nice to go home...but it's also really nice to come home to the place that mikey & i have made into our very own.

that place (our apartment) is currently a million degrees. okay, not a million but it feels like it. we do not have air conditioning and the only two windows in our place are in the shower and in our bedroom. no windows in the living room makes for a verrrrry hot apartment; ugh. it's yucky & fans can only do so much! dare i say, i'm actually looking forward to work as it is cool as a cucumber in there!

i finally found the perfect frame for it...at the dollar store too! now i just need to find the perfect spot. i think we're going to re-organize/decorate in here soon.

tomorrow i have the day off and since my sewing machine is fixed (yayy!! thanks mum) i am going to get in touch with my crafty side again. it has been far too long (over two weeks since i've made anything) there are a lot of good routines i need to get back into; the gym, eating well, etc etc. and i need to get organized; badly!! not being home for two weeks totally threw me off...

today is a lazy rotten no good very bad day (or something like that...what is that from? i feel like it's from a childrens book that i had when i was little) anyway, why you may ask is it a no good very bad day? because a) it's raining out and i always get a little grumpy when it's raining and b) walking in the rain/getting shoes wet...no fun! rainy days are only nice if you don't have to go to work, you have endless amounts of tea and a lovely book to read.

however, on the plus side, i DO enjoy umbrellas and all things rain'like.

ps: i think my yesterdays post predicated rain was coming as there are two rainy day'esque inspirations posted. hmmm...

i wish i wasn't feeling crappy today.

i wish i wasn't still feeling yucky today. i have the day off and there is nothing worse then being sick on your day off; blah!! i want to force myself to feel better as this is the last day off i have house sitting at the vyns and i desperately want to go for a bike ride (they have so many cute bicycles) currently though i can barely walk down the stairs; no energy. i'm going to finish the laundry, have a shower, get some food into my tummy and then magically, my nose will stop running, i will have energy and will be able to carry on my day (let's hope...) if not, they have two great porches where i can continue reading my (well, their) book...did i mention that they basically have every book ever written by douglas coupland? and did i mention he's my faaaavourite; it's great!!

i am SO not excited about having to go into work today. i am super sick; sneezy, sore throaty, runny nosey (okay okay i'll stop...you get the point) i sound disgusting, i feel disgusting and the last thing i want to do is put on a happy face and pretend i care (which is definitely a key factor in my job) this cold has been sneaking up on me all week...luckily i have tomorrow off, just need to make it through today first.
