oh my wow.

i just got rid of SO much junk. mikey & i have a 'hell hole' aka: biiiiig closet that is, sorry WAS filled with so much crap and i just cleaned the heck out of it. mikey and bryan are doing a big value village run tonight so i decided to get it done and it only took me about an hour. it feels sooo good to get rid of so much stuff...i feel like that's all i've been doing lately...just simplifying my life for this move :) it's a good thing, i promise. we need to make a run to the dump soon too.

time for a much needed shower and then i'm going to make a pizza...mmm, comfort foods are the best when you're feeling crampy and bloated. it sucks being a lady sometimes!

lately i've come across a lot of vinyl stickers that can be put up instead of art on walls, chairs, table, etc. i love the clean lines and bold statements that they make. i will probably end up ordering a few of these for the new loft, the smaller ones as i'm sure too many could be overbearing. there are SO many to chose from on etsy...here are some of my faves:

it's friday and i was supposed to have the full day off, three day weekend but instead i did four hours of overtime this morning and now it's time to relax!

i had lots of new blog followers/blogs to read as a result of my giveaway...which by the way, you have two & a half more days to enter...i love having new blogs to read and new inspiration! i have been feeling sooo very inspired lately, there are so many things i want to try in our new place.

( by the way, we got some good news! we're going to be moving in a week earlier than we originally expected; less than one month til we move in! )

i won this pretty pouch from this blog it's pretty exciting winning things, especially an adorable handmade pouch with a mermaid hand stitched onto it. i have always loved mermaids (especially ariel of course) and we all know i crave long pretty flowing red hair...*sigh* soon, soon...

this week has been exciting, except for my sleepyness at work today but it was my own fault cause i went out to a show last night and had some drinkies and got a little drunky, haha; fun times though! i have friday, saturday and sunday off (as i mentioned) but am planning on doing some overtiiiiime to bring home some bacon (side note: i have never said that before and probably never will again ugh!) anyway, busy busy busy...if i don't post again before halloween i hope everyone has a lovely and safe one and i will be back to post photos of my costume and announce the giveaway winner next week!

i had a lovely weekend at home. mikey and i went to my parents house on saturday night and hungout there for a bit, having some drinks with them then went to the bear for some drinks. lots and lots of friends showed up which was really nice! sunday we just bummed around (we were pretty hungover) did laundry and had a nice family dinner then headed home on the bus...oh ya, we were on the FLOOR of the bus cause they ran out of seats. how does that happen? luckily it's only an hour and a bit...but we're going tomorrow to get either a free ticket or our money back...we were not too pleased about sitting on the floor of a greyhound.

this week is going to be gooood. four day work week and then a three day weekend and it's halloween...what good timing for a three day weekend ♥ i'm excited to dress up!!

becky over at strumpets crumpets has inspired me to do a halloween costume post! i've had some pretty fun costumes so i thought i wold share them with you guys...

this was actually not on halloween but a costume party in the middle of the summer two years ago (actually, it was on my birthday) we were b girls (b as in hip hop for those who weren't sure...)

this was my last years costume and one of my favourites...195o's housewife! everyone said it suited me too well.

i was sally from the nightmare before christmas. i sewed all of those patches on myself; it was pretty time consuming. julie of course, was minnie mouse and what a cute one!

this was also 2oo7, i went to a few halloween parties that year. when i went up to brock to visit my university friends i was a trashy nascar babe with fake cheesy tattoos (aka: mom in a heart, "ride fast ride hard")

this was also one of my favourites (if you know me, you know that i love asian fashion and would love to be a harajuku girl) so i was! this was halloween 2oo6 when i was still in university.

(i'm wearing a hello kitty mini back and hello kitty undies under that skirt haha, just to complete the costume!)

mainly i'm overly excited for my costume this year. i think it will be up there as one of my faves.

remember this little precious face? i shared photos with you guys when we went to see him for the first time in july. he's mikeys sister andreas little baby, and he had to be put down on the weekend. so very very sad...poor little guy was extremely sick.

he was the cuuuutest kitten, i even went so far as to saying he was cuter than my andy electric as a baby cat. i hope he feels better in kitty heaven ♥

i love the ladder idea for shelving. this is a cute metal one but i'd really like an old wooden one too.

i lovelovelove these cabinets. i want one of each...or maybe just one, i guess.

we've decided we 100% need a bed frame now, we've been living like college students for the past year with just the box spring and mattress on the floor (which i like) but now we need an 'under the bed' for storage so it's a necessity.

sorry i have yet to post about the giveaway. i am going to try and have it all set up to go on friday! i've never done one before so i have a few things to think of, how i want to do it and what exactly i want to have as the giveaway. it will be good though, i promise! i already have a few things in mind.

mostly lately my mind has been spinning with new loft ideas. i just found out today that my dear friend kirk is going to be taking our apartment so that's pretty neat. we get to be neighbours! which will also be really exciting so i'm stoked that he wanted it. forty days until the move. i am sososo excited. like, beyond excited. mainly to decorate of course but also just to have a new fresh space...and to minimize clutter.
