hi lost bloggy friends,

i'm still alive!! have you missed me?? mikey and i have been working 9-6 and then moving like crazyyyy. it's been a veryveryVERY stressful couple of weeks...very. i won't even get into the things that have gone wrong but basically everything that could, has. it's been tough but everything is starting to settle into place (finally) the biggest thing that's been a struggle lately is that the electric company cut off our electricity 5 days before i asked so it got turned off yesterday so that was pretty inconvenient as the only time mikey & i really have to move is after work, which is around 6, and now the sun goes down by like 4 sooo...it's been interesting. luckily the new apartment was ready for us to move into and we weren't stuck at the old one for 5 days without electricity. luckily today there was some (voluntary) time off so i snatched that up and have been moving back and forth all day...down two flights of stairs, across the street, up two flights of stairs. rinse and repeat.

ANYWAY! the new place is absolutely stunning. i feel like i'm in a studio in new york or something. i can't wait to show off photos! we're getting internet hooked up their next wednesday (i'm at a coffee shop right now) i'm going to try and see if anyone has an open connection up there though, now that i realized my wireless is working. anyway, that's what has been going on in my crazy life lately. i hope to be back sooooon; i miss the internets.

tea and bacon (and bon iver) is what i'm having for breakfast this morning. how funny is this though? i automatically thought of carlovely cause she is obsessed with diet coke. bacon flavoured though? i hope this isn't real...it can't be. either way, gross!!

i am super excited for today! richy is coming down for the next two days, the flavour ten anniversary party is tonight and it is pretty much going to be the best party of the year. it's pretty sweet because vans, LRG and obey all did collaborations for flavour tee shirts...
this one's not a collab for flavour but it's the obey tee that i'll be wearing tonight, deep vee, glow in the dark; soooo rad! i have a pretty sweet outfit planned...parties are fun ♥

so i have a question to all you lovely ladies who go to these mysterious (to me) 'estate sales' what the heck are they? and where can i get one? are they just basically a glorified garage sale? like, a garage sale but rich people who live in estates? i have nooo idea. maybe it's an american thing? maybe we don't have 'estate sales' in canada...but i want them! everyone gets such sweet vintage things there...gimme! gimme! gimme!

the other night i went to go see 'pirate radio' or i guess in some places it's called 'the boat that rocked' and it was realllllly awesome..great music, great set, great vintage (everything) great sixties clothes...it was fantastic! & happy :) i definitely recommend it to everyone...

mikey & i found out that we can 'move in' on saturday if we want as she's leaving even earlier which is awesome cause then we'll have over a week to move in before the new tenants move into our place on december 1st. we started packing tonight & got quite a bit done. we still have SO MUCH stuff to get rid of...really wishing it was garage sale time, so we could make some monies off this stuff. i hate giving value village expensive clothes/shoes...ahhh well!

suuuuper excited for this weekend! richy is coming down for the flavour ten year anniversary party and eeeveryone is really excited about it. it's going to be a GOOD party.

we've never had a bed frame...this one is really pretty. it has a high headboard which i plan to make something pretty for ( & room under the bed to store my craft supplies )

followed by a super cute pillow...this will be sitting on our bed ( in which we have a lovely white duvet for ) along with lots of other pillows i will be hand making

we got two of these cushion/arm rests for either side of the futon ( this is apparently the colour we got...laxbro red, i promise it's not so fuschia-like in real life )


this is the futon. it's really big and could comfortably fit three people ( without the armrests ) it folds down onto a full size bed ( comfortably sleeping two people ) & has storage underneath. as stated, this is a horrible photo of the colour. it's wayyyy more red and wayyyy less pink

i had a pretty busy weekend; drank with friends, got to see megs lots, did some shopping in toronto (didn't get too much since i am so saavy with my monies) had a nice family dinner (ribs, caesar salad & corn-on-the-cob) and went to ikea where i got a TON of stuff for our loft, basically all of the furniture from this place we are getting rid of and we're going to have a helluva time putting together all of the new stuff. yes, everything that is shown above does NOT come already put together...good thing i have five vacation days at the end of this month! we still have a few things to get, lots of shelves (ones at ikea were too long) a trash can that we can spray paint as we want to keep towels & linens in it, plastic containers for under the bed storage, two more kitchen chairs, coat rack/hooks, shoe rack...i'm probably missing some things but those are the major ones!

we move in nine days...♥ eeee!!

aw, it makes me miss my little babycat, who is currently at the animal hospital recovering from her surgery this morning. we got her declawed as we are buying new furniture for the loft and even though she has two scratching posts she STILL chose to use the couch and our coffee table so, bye bye claws (plus, she'll be more cuddly as now her teeth will be her only defense mechanism) i would have rather not have done that buuuut if we're spending good money on things, i don't want them ruined. anyway, the vet called after the surgery and said she did just fine and was even moving about in her kennel. side note: the thought of her in a kennel until saturday morning hurts my heart :(

i mean, look at the little cutie...how could you put her in a kennel? (this was obviously taken when we first got her and she is about 16x this size...but i will post this photo whenever possible as it is the CUTEST kitty photo you will ever see...yes, ever!)

so! mikey & i are finally starting to pack tonight...where to start, where to start. blah! i hate unpacking...actually i don't mind packing, what i hate is UNpacking...though i do like finding a perfect spot for everything!

i am super excited for this weekend & november in general...tomorrow i am going home for the weekend. i get to do laundry (for free, yay!) go to toronto on saturday to visit erika (it's been FAR too long) & shoppity shop, see my pickering friends and go to ♥ ikea ♥ on sunday to blow all of our monies!!

the following weekend if the flavour ten year anniversary party which is going to be nuts! everyone's super excited about it. free drinks, free swag and an awesome surprise band, yes please! the following week we move into our apartment and then that weekend i am going home for a famjam/friends party. november has been a GREAT month so far. i've had a few lovely surprises along the way as well which have helped a LOT!

diy project...that was made of toilet paper rolls! i want to make one for the bathroom...anyone have any toilet paper rolls? start saving them for me! i might paint them as well...painted would look nice, right?

so!! it's only 14 days until mikey & i move...we REALLY need to start packing considering we are both super busy & well, it needs to get done...and within the next two weeks. our apartment has still not been rented but i am starting not to care what the place looks like because we need to start packing and that means a mess will take place.

sidenote: i wish my blackberry would come in the mail already!
