time at home was nice. went out to strangelove thursday night with richy, b.tuffs and eric...so much fun! ran into a lot of sweet people who i was not expecting to see which is always awesome! friday, julie, richy and i went downtown and did a little shopping...had lunch at mister greenjeans and got our photos taken in the photobooth (favourite!) tonight richy and peter slack are coming to visit and we plan on getting wild, gonna be a good night for sure!!

today i started going to the gym like i've been promising myself i would do for like a year. so i signed up a few days ago and started today. i already feel better. just getting back into a routine where i'm not just sleeping and working is nice...feels good :) tomorrow i'm going to one of the yoga classes! can't wait. this week is going to be fuuuun ♥

thursday - heading home to pickering (dentist/doctors appointments)

friday - free during the day, who wants to hang? then going downtown and partying for robbie collins birthday (wooo!) haha i get really excited about partying now cause i'm not doing it every weekend like i use to, lol.

saturday - work at 3 til 11 or 12 and then partying with richy&peter slack who are you coming to visit, as well as bry, jess, andrea and whoever else wants to come and have serious dance parties!!

sunday - i wish was a day of rest but i'll have to work at 3 again, bummer!
then continues the regular work week...i'm looking forward to getting in some good party times though!!

today was a successful day of crafting and i'm going to continue into the night...

okay, so i'm obsessed with a lot of things right now but finding one thing that combines FOUR of those obsessions is incredible. i just about screamed when i saw this dress in winners...

to make the obsessions clear, a) it's my favourite colours, i love red & seafoam...b) it's tokidoki ft. hello kitty, whom i adore...c) it has red heart buttons down the front (red&buttons=cute!) and d) it's a strapless dress, i love dresses and i love strapless things...oh ya & e) it was only $40! there's only one thing, this little hello kitty on the side with the green monster type hat on; observe...

see? i don't really know what they were thinking with that...if the hat thingy was seafoam, cute...but green? where did that come from! anyway, i'm going to sew a red heart there instead and then, the dress shall be perfect ♥ oh and that's not in...i also found this little beauties; rocketdogs for $8!! (the lady at the counter told me that winners is closing down their shoe section...kinda sad)

and cause i felt like it...more photos...cause i haven't done this in forever!!

naturally, those sunglasses are red...but i liked this one in black and white rather then colour...& my little bow bracelet which i love so much.

so today i decided to take a much needed 'me' day. i've been a little rundown lately, not sleeping overly great and just mentally exhausted so i'm spending some time with me. aka: relaxing, drinking lots of tea&crafting my little heart out. (i have lots to catch up on from my online class)

sooo, i signed up for the gym yesterday and i'm really stoked on getting back into that. i miss feeling good about myself and actually taking care of my body. there's some really fun classes that they offer there too (for free!) abs&arms, yoga&pilates, spin and even dance classes! i'm really excited to get back into a routine and start feeling motivated again!

day three of seven (days straight at work)...this sucks.

cool: working for eight hours a day and getting paid pretty well/having a friend who sits beside you so you don't completely lose your mind.

not cool: dreaming about work...not different scenarios either. just like a regular work day alllll over again, in your dreams, while you're trying to peacefully sleep.

this has been happening to me a LOT lately and it REALLY needs to stop...

i've been grumpy lately and it sucks.

i have made two of these cute bow headbands out of old tee shirts of mine. they are perfect for making big unruly hair look cute. i made a red one as well and plan to make a million more! also...i decided that while i am trying to grow my hair, that using my flat iron may not be the best idea...so i'm embracing my curls once again. i wish my hair was a lot brighter red...though i am quite impressed with how well the colour has stayed this time around.

also, i want this dress, really bad. i think it would be perfect for a summer wedding (this is assuming that i would have a summer wedding to go to) are you still not allowed to wear white to a wedding...or is that rule out the window?

i'm so sick of winter. what happened to those lovely spring like days we had a couple weeks ago where i could walk outside in just a hoodie...such a tease.

go figure that my online class starts pretty much right when my seven day work week starts as well, i'm so behind. i made a really cute scrapbook featuring little miss andy electric, i will post photos when i finish! i'm pretty proud of it

i do not want to go to work...starting today; seven days straight, three til midnight...uggggh! that and i'm a little bit hungover today. last night i went over to my friends lianne and robs apartment and rob made this incredible roast beef dinner, it was amazing! we drank lots of wine and played wii and then went to the sapphire room for a few drinks and mikey met up with us. today i slept til one o'clock and i still feel kinda crappy. anyway, better get ready for work.

okay i know i won't shut up about it but seriously, summmmmer...i miss you. i want you. i need you in my liiiiife! ho hum. i miss flip flops and tank tops and mostly my crazy blonde hair (*sigh*) and i miss this day, with candice...we had a blast taking photos in this alley, it was so neat & colourful. that and i haven't seen candice in over a year and that's pretty much borderline retarded!

five: i'm twenty two and have just recently started thinking about what i'd like my wedding to be like...i think most girls start way earlier.

eight: also...i want a thousand more cats...but actually this time, a thousand.

nine: i wish i could just sew and make cute things for a living...

ten: i'm starting to like sparkly things a lot more then i use to. and just girlier things in general, i never really did before. still not down with pink yet.

eleven: i'm getting over the whole 'i want/need to move to toronto' thing...kind of over it. nice place to visit but i'm not sure i'd want to live there.

twelve: i have some REALLY cute outfits in mind for spring. why can't it be warm?

thirteen: i actually enjoy taking buses.

fourteen: i probably pee green tea. that's how much i drink it.

fifteen: i (still) really love the song 'put it on me' by ja rule...and am not ashamed to say it.

sixteen: i miss babysitting.

seventeen: i really love that mikey has good style. i really don't think i could date someone who was a bad dresser...maybe that makes me shallow but my goodness is it ever true.

eighteen: i found the cutest red boots today ($15!) they had white polka dots on them and lace around the trim. did they have my size? nope. does this always happen to me? yep (oh and ps: i will never stop buying shoes. i'm obsessed with boots. i'd wear them every single day if i could...well actually, i can. and i do)

nineteen: speaking of obsessions (my latest one) ♥ my mums sewing machine she let me borrow.

twenty: i couldn't live without popcorn.

back to life, back to reality...

i dunno why that song came to mind when i started writing haha, maybe cause mikey and i are back from toronto and...back to reality?? lol. idk!

anyway. we had a looooovely time celebrating our one year anniversary; it was really really nice. we took the bus down early yesterday, checked into the hotel (westin harbour castle) which had the biggest&comfiest bed of life (king size with like 3 duvets on top!) i never wanted to leave it...

then we went for a swim/hot tub/sauna at the pool...came upstairs, lounged around in bed for a bit, watched a movie (step brothers, pretttty bad) then got ready for dinner and headed to the keg; mmmm. my fave! mikey had never been there so we definitely had to go. steak&baked potato ♥ after we came home and had some wine and more loungin' time. also i gave mikey the scrapbook i had been working on for him :) he loved it!!

the view from the hotel was pretty neat...i liked the ice (ps: this boat is a restaurant. cool right? too bad the food is shit and makes you barf...right dad?)

today we walked around toronto and did some shopping...neither of us were overly impressed with the shops, nothing special. that and my goodness are the people in toronto ever rude! you walk into a shop and they don't even acknowledge your existence. the people, they walk around like they are in their own little worlds...someone bumps into you, they don't even look at you let alone apologize. anyway! i got some cute shades, red glasses, a cute owl coin purse and a plaid shirt...& of course we went to the photobooth ♥

today's been a really good day already. woke up kinda early, took mikey to breakfast at 'speak easy' (our fave!) and now i'm going to go run some errands...today was also pay day!

& tomorrow's valentines day. i wish i didn't have to work but i do...oh well. monday, tuesday, wednesday mikey and i have off together (three whole days!) and we're going to go to toronto and go out for a nice dinner and stay over at a hotel and then go shopping on tuesday...for our one year ♥

anyway...in other news;

the mickey mouse pillow that i made today out of one of my favourite (but now too small) vintage tees! this is about the only productive thing i did today. other then consume too much a lot of tea.

'he's just not that into you' was as girly and predictable as i had heard/thought but still so good. everyone needs a good dose of girlyness everything here and that definitely filled it. it's funny cause at the beginning of the movie they're talking about boys and how when they start to make fun of you, it means they like you. i don't know about anyone else but i know that my mum definitely told me that was true when i was little as well. there was this one boy who would just torture me in nursery school/throughout elementary school and my mum would always say "it's cause he likes you". i'm glad once boys grow up, they don't act like that anymore haha. funny way of showing someone you like them...

i just made yummy banana muffins. i love the smell of freshly baked muffins or cookies. we have this chocolate chip cookie dough candle that smells exactly like that so even if i'm not baking, it still smells like i am!

because the weather ruined my plans for today, i'm going to make a pillow out of one of my old/favourite mickey mouse shirts instead. i hope it turns out good! i have pictures of some of my new/cute snugglies but i can't post them yet cause they're still in the mail to some people & i wouldn't want to ruin the surprise.

look at that pathetic excuse for a ponytail. i haven't decided yet whether i want to keep my hair short (it looks a lot better down then like this, haha) or whether i want to grow it out again. i'm thinking grow it out but then i always get to that awkward crappy stage where i hate it...where it's in between short and long and i know once i get there, i'll hate my hair for a couple months. i just keep thinking how long it would have been if i hadn't of cut it all off...it'd be soooo long by now. i'd probably hate it cause i think girls are ever rarely satisfied with their hair for long periods of time...or maybe i'm just one of those 'want what you can't have' kind of people; when it comes to hair anyway. when i had my long hair i hated it and wanted it to have more style...now that i have a cute short haircut i want my long hair back. i'd also love to go back to blonde but can't cause it would kill my hair. it's a constant battle it seems. hmph! i know i'd like my hair long for the summer so i can have a (real) ponytail and generally medium-long hair is easier to deal with right? no that doesn't make much sense...shorter hair should be, oh i don't know. anyway!

at it's absolute blondest...pretty much platinum. i think it looks the best like this but as i said, it totalllllly fried my hair. *sigh* i miss it. this photo was taken at scene fest two years ago (good times!)

i'm not sure when this was taken...one, maybe two years ago. when i had my hair dark with extensions...i liked this hair too. yes, i know what you're thinking "carly, why the hell do you look tanned?" i think it's some sort of fake tanner/burn cause it was taken in the summertime...so maybe just maybe it actually happened. doubtful though. i wish i could get it back though, whatever kind of freak accident it was...?
