i think i'll go outside & take some photos with my new (old) camera

last night we went to mikeys mum & partner terrys place for dinner (which was absolutely delicious, as per usual; steak, corn on the cob, garlic bread and salad, mmmm!) bry was outside taking photos of the moon and i mentioned to terry how i wanted to get an old (film) camera as i enjoy those photos so much more than digital...though digital cameras are great, i love the imperfect film shots. a little background info, terry and roberta both love everything vintage/antiques (you should see some of the amazing old cars & boats he has) anyway, next thing i know he's bringing out this old canon that they hadn't used in years and giving it to me!! it's so great, i can't wait to take photos with it :)

has anyone else watched big love?

i rented season 1 from the library last week and mikey and i are now nearing the end of season 2 (1 more disc to go) i really like it...it's just so different then any other series out there. i love the characters and i find it really interesting! i think though that if i had of started watching it while it was on tv, i would have gotten bored. i find it easier to get into something after it's been on tv as if you're watching it during, you really have to be into it in order to watch it week after week.

also...i love ginnifer goodwin. i think she's so cute!

as for chloe sevigny...i love her character on big love as i totally don't think that's what she would be like in real life but sometimes i just don't find her pretty. she has that sarah jessica parker thing where sometimes she can look gorgeous & other times not so much. she has great hair though, i'll give her that!

i went to go see this movie with my girlfriend meg yesterday & thoroughly enjoyed it. i have yet to read the book (meg let me borrow it yesterday so i am just starting) but normally after seeing the movie i am less intrigued to read the book however with this i am more so. maybe i will get lost in it today...i can't think of anything i'd rather be doing then enjoying a good book on a friday afternoon. tea too of course.

it was very inspiring...this movie made me want to pack my bags and go somewhere...anywhere. it also made me want a big ol' bowl of pasta (if you've seen it, you would know why) and of course julia roberts is incredible in it. she has always been one of my favourite actresses, i just think she's so gorgeous and has such a contagious smile.

hi hi hi!

i can't help but be in an extremely good mood. things just really feel like they are coming together for me lately. there was a few months back that i was completely miserable, in my job (which i never really shared) and of course when you're not happy in your job, that leads to stress is other areas of your life...and things just weren't going my way it seemed. anyway, since dealing with that and getting my life a little more sorted out and in order, i've had a smile on my face. it was great having time off this summer to actually enjoy the weather and my friends and have time to go home lots and go to the cottage and just doing things i wouldn't have gotten to do otherwise.

now i'm starting school in a couple of weeks, starting a new job in less than a month and mikey & i's relationship is wonderful. as i said, i couldn't be happier right now and i just felt like sharing a little as i think it's nice when people who don't usually blog about personal stuff, share. i think it's good to keep your personal life out of the blog world as it is the internet and sharing too much online has never really been my thing...but at the same time, i feel like we're all friends here (cheesy cheese, i know but it's true) and i just wanted you guys to know that i'm happy...and that i'm thankful for everything i've been blessed with. i truly have a great life and know that i am lucky in it. it feels good to be completely happy again.

my 2nd...technically 3rd interview (as there was a phone one) went well today because they offered me the job! i didn't want to jinx it by telling you guys where it was but i'm guessing you have some idea now ;) haha.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

i was really really hoping i would get this part-time sales associate position for when i'm in school as i've always wanted to work for h&m and now i do; wahoo :D i'm over the moon...today has been a lovely day so far! i also got my stationary swap package from jamie & it was filled with pretty stationary...which will help with my 4 simple goals...goal #4) writing more letters!
