today we went to the marina (where mikeys mum&boyfriend live) and spent the day there. it was a gorgeous day, super hot&sunny. we went fishing off the dock (the fish were hungry!) & also out in the boat for a bit, but didn't have much luck out there...

all in all, it was a great sunday...and overall an amazing weekend! after the sex and the city fashion show (at the cinema) that i was in for S.O.S & plush, the girls went out for dinner to this really nice outdoor restaurant called 'elements' had a great stuffed chicken & then we met up with all the boys at spankys and drank $3.50 pabst for the rest of the evening ♥ hope everyone had a great weekend, back to work tomorrow...blah

i made a new skirt today.
this is one of my favourite fabrics...it's a vintage bed sheet. i made one for my friend in this fabric and knew i needed one for myself; the perfect summer skirt!

& i can't believe i was at work when all of this was going on...they are meg&colins neighbours puppies, i want to see them!! the videos are oh-so cute...they make little squeaky noises...

woke up at 10am this morning feeling refreshed,

mikey doesn't work until 3 today so we cleaned the whole loft which was nice...done before 11.30am, made eggs&toast&tea (hello kitty style) for breakfast and am feeling really good! i love waking up early and not wasting my day sleeping in (not that it seems like i could anymore anyway, even if i tried. another sign of growing up...)

do you recognize the shape of those eggs? hehe. ordered it for $4 from japan & it did not feel like a guilty hello kitty purchase as i actually really wanted/needed a small pan to make eggs (when you do them in a bigger pan the centers always break and i like dip in eggs)

hahaha, this little lady has no manners...this is her favourite position, her legs spread wide open...how rude! lol.

my oh my!

it has been a busy week...i didn't really get up to much but i worked mostly 10-7 shifts which interrupt pretty much the entirety of ones day. i went for a great bike ride one night after work with lianne, about two hours...it was lovely & last night mikey & i watched 'the attack of the 50 foot woman' (haha, did people in the 50s actually find these movies scary??)

since i got screwed over last weekend (which was a long weekend for most people) by having to work the saturday, i get tomorrow off and therefore have a long weekend THIS weekend...meaning i have 3 days off starting now!! eeee :) i love having more than a few days off, it means i can get things done & i have lots to do, i plan on:
* going to the library
* going for as many bike rides as possible
* cleaning the loft (it needs a really good clean!)
* going thrifting
* making a dress (it's been too long since i've made something)
* enjoying the freakishly warm weather
* thinking of what i want for my birthday (hehe)
* spending time with friends
* getting laundry done
...lets hope i have time for everything!!

ps: it is REALLY great having air conditioning...last year (in our old place) we melted...this year we are cool as cucumbers & couldn't be happier about it :)
