excuse my lack of blogging...

i've been at home at my parents place for the last couple of days and will be here until thursday as i'm on my reading week from college & am enjoying some R&R at home with the fam (♥) & also enjoying some much needed time away from computers & the internet & over indulging in television & the movie network as i don't get cable at home, hehe.

oh hello best friend for the weekend,

i have this weekend off (& next week is reading week so i have a week off from school) & i am very excited to indulge in mulitple beers, good friends & lots of dancing tonight & tomorrow night. i've been so busy with school & work lately that i have not had much time for any of those things so i think i deserve it!!

i was told i looked professional in this outfit from a friend at work, it was obviously just the blazer. they give you a sense of power almost, hehe...maybe that's where they get the word power suit from?

this outfit was super comfy but i still felt cute wearing it!

this kitten is pretty much my dream kitty. that soft peachy colour...adorable! he belongs to a roomate of teddys. i didn't want to leave him.

two more days of school & then it's the weekend (which i have off from work) & also reading week :) wahoo! i'm excited to sleep in and get some things done that i haven't had time to do thus far (aka: laundry) and hopefully i can work my schedule so that i have some time at home as well!

i think if i could at anytime dye my hair one crazy colour, it'd be blue. i mean technically i could if i really wanted to i just wouldn't want to have to bleach my hair out first to get it to this shade.

i especially love juliette lewis' i think it looks so pretty on her

it's funny because i used to hate blue (& green) dyed hair...that was when i was in high school and the people who had that colour hair never did very well with the up keep and it was always fading and gross looking. if it's well maintained though, it can be very pretty!

am i crazy?

they were only $18.80 & i've had this crazy passion for sequins lately. i think it all happened when i decided i was going to be betty boop for hallowe'en & the vintage dress i got for $20 for my costume. anyhow...i love these and can't wait to get them & style them. i think they're going to be a ton of fun!!

ps:

i also love that they were called sequined hotpants on the website. hot pants sound like fun pants to wear...even though they're totally shorts.

four days since my last post; i'm a bad blogger...

i've been crazy busy working my butt off. it's been fun and exciting and new and challenging and exhausting and amazing and everyone i work with is so so so awesome! the opening of the store was on thursday and it went SO well! there was people lined up, wrapped around the whole store waiting to get in at noon! it was so neat to see that people were so excited to see the store that we spent so much time setting up :) what a good feeling!! so i've been working everyday since then. i have school all week (& 3 shifts) and then i have the weekend off and the following week is my reading week; wahoo!

today after work bry, jess, mikey & i went for a nice lunch and then to a few antique places just outside of town. my goodness i could spend so much money there...i didn't though because i'm being good about that, plus i'd much rather spend my extra cash at h&m, hehe. speaking of, i've bought a few items since starting & i'm sure they'll be incorporated into outfit posts soon. i know i said i was going to do more and i promise i will :)

i went grocery shopping today...finally!! i feel like i've just been eating so crappy these last few weeks, being busy and not having groceries = eating crappy, for me anyway. so i was sure to buy some good things like apples and veggies so my body won't hate me anymore...and i'm trying to drink a lot more water too!

mmm, i betcha $100 this makes you thirsty for some lemon water...

tonight about 1o of us are going bowling which will be nice as i haven't had a ton of 'friend time' lately so i'm looking forward to that :) tomorrow is the grand opening of H&M and i am so stoked about it!! it's going to be a super busy day (working 1o hours) but it's also going to be a lot of fun!

hello hello,

i apologize for being m.i.a lately & will still be m.i.a for at least the next week or so. i just have not had a spare minute to blog or to even think about something to blog about. this weekend was crazy, a good crazy though. we went from zero to awesome with the store set up, it was so much fun & so rewarding walking into an empty store friday morning & leaving sunday night and the store is all/mostly set up; very cool experience. i am working lots this next week as we open on thursday so don't count on me being around the blogging world much. i'm learning to balance school & work properly though, still getting everything done for school and enjoying my time at work. i actually really love being crazy busy like this.

aside from working 25 hrs this weekend,

i did get time to enjoy myself a little bit &

* have some beers with friends

* went for a hike at warsaw caves

* enjoy the gorgeous weather

* had an absolutely delicious thanksgiving dinner

however i did not have time to:

* get groceries

* clean the apartment

* do my laundry

...all of which desperately need to be done!

sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day.
