i'd probably kill someone for this coat...what a lucky gal coury of the fancy treehouse is to own it. ya, i said kill someone, what? it's a really nice jacket.

i have always, always been envious of karin from lily of the valley. she has the BEST wardrobe...her blog is a magical place to visit!

dear friends

this is one of my dearest friends, lianne

we met about 4 years ago when i moved to peterborough and over the past 4 years she has become one of my absolute favourite people ever. she probably has one of the biggest hearts i've ever come across in my lifetime. she will and has dropped everything to be there for me, on numerous occasions. we laugh together, cry together, do absolutely nothing together and this is why it breaks my heart to say that she is moving to halifax.

strong friendships are a rare and amazing thing. i've always been someone who has a large group of friends but within those groups there's always a few special people who you just really connect with in a different way. lianne is one of those people for me...

she's leaving in the next 3 weeks and there is not one single part of me that wants to say goodbye to her when that day comes.

please don't leave...

i am obsessed with the patterns. of course i love all of the aztec prints but i also found myself drawn to the leopard print backpack...a little outside of my norm but i think it's super adorable! i've also found myself being drawn to backpacks as purses...it's definitely better on your shoulders/back to carry around a backpack rather than a huge, oversized bag on one shoulder(which is normally what i carry) & these backpacks would definitely do the trick!

i love beautiful brooches & have quite the collection. i picked this one up at the 'one of a kind' show in toronto last november. i'm looking forward to going again this year...it's right around the corner

this nail polish is my new obsession. it's OPIs swimsuit...nailed it! & it's metallicy goodness has me weak at the knees

i haven't been feeling well this past week. my throat is so very sore, i had little to no voice over the weekend and today i woke up and cannot speak at all. luckily i am on reading break from college, however i would rather be spending my break outside in the gorgeous weather as opposed to cooped up inside, sick...bad timing. today i should be out having lunch and shopping with some gal pals, instead i am drinking copious amounts of tea & napping a lot.

how great are these boots?? they couldn't have come at a better time...i've been sick all week (hence no outfit posts) & after a long day at school yesterday, i came home & there they were...sitting on my doorstep!

they are the jackies in brown. i love the finish of them and how they look like they have been worn in...i'm always drawn to things that loom pre-loved and i think these totally have that vibe going on. not to mention, cognac is my faaaavourite colour for boots, it simply goes with everything. i can already tell these aren't leaving my feetsies anytime soon!

as i said, i haven't been feeling great this week so i've had lots of down time between tests and stuff at school, lots of tea & lots of naps.

i'm officially on reading week (a week off from college, from those saying 'reading what?') which i am desperately looking forward to!! i am also heading to a gorgeous cabin/resort this weekend with some friends & i can't wait for that!! relaxation, here i cooome :)

halloween costumers: over the years

last year i was betty boop...basically i bought this dress on etsy for $25 & therefore had to make an excuse to wear it...in walks betty boop

one year i was a ballerina...this was for bryans birthday/costume party in march though, not halloween, but it's still a costume so i wanted to post it anyway!

this was also for a costume party, on my birthday (apparently we have a lot of them here) me, megg & katelyn were b-girls. these costumes were fun!

a few years ago, i was hello kitty! obviously this is one of my favourites, plus my costume was almost entirely handmade by yours truly

this was quite a few years ago when i was still living in pickering. me & julie from the life of a cupcake. she was minnie mouse (duh!) i was sally from nightmare before christmas, another handmade costume of mine!

& this one...oh boy, i'm (almost) embarassed to post this photo! this was from when i was in university, this is several years ago!!! i was a harajuku girl with a friend melissa. i was also wearing hello kitty underwear, ya know, to go with the theme!!

as for this year, i have my costume all ready, you'll just have to wait to find out!
