i've been playing around a little more lately with my DSLR since i got it over a year ago & still don't take it out as often as i should. these are just some photos from around the house, next i want to venture outside, probably when the weather gets a bit nicer again!

glitter nailpolish is so hard to photograph...i find if you enlarge the photos, you can definitely see the detail better. anyways, i have REALLY good news about this nail polish. remember i posted my discontent about glitter polishes here and how difficult they are to remove? well guess whaaaat...this stuff comes off just like regular polish, yup...it really is the best!

glittery things

i don't know many girls who don't enjoy a little sparkle...as for me, i enjoy it a LOT! sparkly nail polishes are one of my favourite things ever...yep, ever

my new favourite glitter polish is essie's 'shine of the times' it's so so so iridescent and pretty, i love it! the little glitter flakes are all different sizes too so the texture is really great! it's kind of hard to tell as i put mine over a nude polish so here's another photo taken from this blog i can't wait to try this glitter over darker polishes

isn't it lovely? nail polish fans unite!

also...who else absolutely despises taking off glitter polish? why haven't they figured out how to make it easier?! (white girl problems...lol) someone please tell me there is a super easy to remove glitter polish remover that is some big secret that i just don't know about yet....please...

i know i have posted about this girl before but dammit, her style is just so spot on. i love it!

i saw this on someone's tumblr (i cannot remember whose) and i just love it. mikey & i are both haters (but we're nice people, i swear) and so i thought this was cute/funny

um so i'd just like to talk about amber for a second. if you don't read her blog yet, i love you to the moon, can you just go check it out (watch at least one vlog) then come back & we'll chat...

you're back? okay, sweet. so...first of all, how freaking cute is she? i know...girl crush...big time. second of all, she's a real person. i know what you're thinking 'no duh!' but seriously, she blogs about real things not just pretty things or about how awesome her life is, etc...she talks about real emotions and feelings and i also just find her really interesting. there's a lot of blogs out there that never touch on serious subjects or if they're feeling down so i really appreciate those real, genuine ones that do. amber, you're awesome! (have i freaked you out yet?)

i love love love everything about the blog heart handmade, such pretty photos all the damn time. she just posted photos of her craft room and naturally, they are adorable. come to think of it, my craft room/office has similar pale colours, perhaps sub consciously i was inspired and didn't even know it!

thoughts on tattoos

tattoos are kind of a funny thing, aren't they? not ha-ha funny but funny in a way that they are something personal that we choose to to display in a public manner, that everyone seems to have an opinion about (good or bad) that we choose to permanently mark our skin with things and just overall, always kind of have me thinking...

it's true that tattoos are addicting and because of that, i currently have 9 and much to my parents dismay, i'm sure that number will only grow over the years. when i got my first tattoo at the age of 18, almost 8 years ago, i never really pictured myself being 'heavily tattooed' later on down the road and personally i still don't think i really am but i guess almost having 10 makes one to be considered heavily tattooed. i've always personally thought that tattoos were possibly the best way to express yourself and your individuality. i remember hearing once that "people get tattoos to be different but seeing as everyone has them now, they're really not that different at all" and i don't think they could be more wrong...a) i don't think people get tattoos to be 'different' and if they do, they're silly...and b) everyone who has tattoos (except if they've taken the idea from someone directly) wears it differently and that's what makes it unique to them. i could probably go on and on and on about tattoos, peoples opinions, etc etc but i won't. i guess what i'm getting to and am curious about is, what are your thoughts? love 'em, hate 'em, have 'em, regret 'em?

even though i am asking for opinions, please be respectful of the fact that i do have them so no extreme hate comments please...
