hair play

man oh man...over the years, i've had every 'typical' hair colour (red, brown, blonde, black) & then some...i thought it would be fun to share some rather old photos of me with you guys! short, long, in between - i've had it all!

 who is this girl...right? totally opposite of what i have now! i'd loooove to go back blonde but it would just be way too damaging on my locks & i've worked too hard for the length i have now!

 oh manic panic, how i loved you! i also miss this friend (jeff) & his bf kirk like MAD!

 short was fun...for about a month or two then i totally regretted cutting it and have had about 2 hair 'trims' since haha...this was about 3 1/2 years ago!

 blondes do have more fun. i think that's a fact.

 speaking of driving crazy...i was listening to an awesome playlist this morning (inspired by songs that remind me of my parents) & 'she drives me crazy' by fine young canniballs was most definitely on it!

i've had a lovely little morning afternoon (i slept in!) received an awesome package from tumbleweeds which i will share more about soon, enjoyed some blog reading, coffee and soon i will tackle my laundry, woo.

pretty packaging is my favourite. there's nothing nicer than getting something pretty which is wrapped in equally pretty packaging, right? kraft paper, twine & doilies *sigh*

 i was sent this gorgeous brooch from that vintage & i am absolutely smitten with it. hand carved wood, a tiny bird and a gorgeous frame...does it get any better than this?

the other night after a long (& super busy shift at work) i was having troubles sleeping so was up late, etsy browsing and came across some awesome things i thought i'd share:

 i love my cowboy boots but they get a bit hot sometimes in the summer months (usually doesn't stop me from wearing them though) ...these cuties are the perfect alternative though, don't you think?

tonight i am celebrating being done college (are you sick of me talking about this yet?) there's lots of great things going on tonight too so it's perfect. first dinner at one of my favourite restaurants downtown to see off my dear friend sarah who is heading back to aus, then drinks and seeing the lumbermen play! the rest of my weekend is filled with work, so tonight...i play!
