as most of you are aware (as i won't shut up about it), i'd been dying to go thrifting/antiquing (since we found out we'd be moving february 1st) so today i went to a few stops with el & jess and found some great deals!
i got this gorgeous mustard yellow lamp for $20, i love coloured glass...
... this napkin holder which i have decided will hold my mail/papers on my desk for only $6, it's such a pretty shade of blue, lighter then what the photo shows.
...i've been looking at these coffee/tea/flour/sugar canisters on etsy for the past bit but they were usually over-priced & expensive to ship; scored this pretty set for $20, the metal is in great shape and hardly looks used.
& my favourite purchase of the day...this massive mirror. the frame is wood & hand-carved, isn't it phenomenal? it's the prettiest dark cherry colour. when i saw it, i knew i had to have it & i was shocked at the price. it's hard to see just how pretty it is, since it's not up on the wall but it's absolutely stunning. i scored this for $50! (side note: mikey is holding it and it's covering his head so that shows the size)
& a pretty blue bowl to add to my pyrex collection, for $3!i can't wait to start moving our stuff in & decorating/setting up.
